VeganeR, Anna Nagar

VeganeR.. I happened to visit this place about a year ago in their erstwhile Nungambakkam outlet. I tried their Groupon offer of a buffet lunch then, liked it quite fine. And then, I forgot about the place (pretty much what I do about most places). Recently when they opened newly in Anna Nagar, I was invited for a Bloggers’ Meet (with Divya & Sankar) by the well-known Facebook food group ‘Chennai Food Guide (CFG)’. I knew what Vegan means – Vegetarian food minus the dairy products, which, for a hardcore carnivore like me is almost a nightmare. But I did wanna try the food here to see if Vegan and Tasty could walk hand-in-hand, and I must say, I’m quite impressed. 

Punjab Grill – Phoenix, Velachery

Having been a crowd-pleaser in other cities like Bangalore, Pune, Delhi etc, when this brand opened it’s door in Chennai, everyone went ga-ga over it. I had never been to Punjab Grill so to me, it all looked like ‘oh, again people are over-hyping a place just because they are in every other city’. So when I got invited for a tasting session to this newly opened restaurant by this very popular food group of Chennai called Chennai Food Guide (CFG) in association with Phoenix Marketcity as a part of their #PhoenixFoodTrail and blogger’s development initiative, I happily accepted the invitation.

Coco Jaunt 1728, Teynampet

When Coco Jaunt opened their first outlet in Anna Nagar, I was invited for the food tasting session. I was totally bowled over by their ambiance and the food. Now again, when they opened the doors of their second outlet, a prominent Chennai food group on Facebook named ‘Chennai Food Guide‘ organised a food tasting session and I was lucky enough to be one among the invitees.
