Himalaya Purifying Neem Pack – Review

Every time, I use Himalaya Purifying Neem Scrub (twice a week), I typically apply the Purifying Neem Pack too from Face care by Himalaya Herbals‘s range of Neem products. Yes, my mother did not just make me use a scrub, but she also made me apply a face pack which requires so much patience because, applying, drying, cleaning. Uff! Only Indian mothers can do this I tell you.
So after using the Pack for a while now, here’s my take on the Himalaya Purifying Neem Pack:

What it Claims

A purifying pack that helps to regulate excess oil secretion, cleans clogged pores & prevents the recurrence of pimples. Neem, well-known for its purifying and antibacterial properties, helps in controlling acne and pimples and their recurrence. Combined with Turmeric, it helps control acne-causing bacteria. Fuller’s Earth (Multani Mitti) cools and soothes the skin, improving skin texture and leaving you with clear, problem-free skin.

Ingredients

Actives – Neem, Turmeric, Fuller’s Earth (Multani Mitti)
Inactives – Sodium Methylparaben IP, Sodium Propylparaben IP, Imidazolidinyl Urea, DMDM Hydantoin.

Direction to Use

Apply evenly over cleansed face and neck, avoiding the area around the eyes. Allow to dry for 10-15 minutes. Remove with wet sponge, and wash the skin with cool water. Use once or twice a week. Do not apply on broken or inflamed skin.
May cause some tingling sensation due to herbal active ingredients, which is normal.

Personal experience

What I liked about this Himalaya Purifying Neem Pack:

  • It comes in a typical Himalaya Herbals white tube with green flip cap. No leakage/spillage. Travel friendly.
  • The color of this pack is typical Neem paste color in muddy dark green. Looks natural and resembles a lot like Mehendi.
  • It doesn’t smell of anything sweet but it has a mild and natural Neem fragrance instead. Not too overpowering though.
  • The texture is thick and smooth eventhough it contains tiny scrubbing granules.
  • Because of it’s smoothness, it spreads easily on the face and dries quickly too (in 10mins approx).
  • You can simply wet your fingers (sponge is not required), pat on the face and massage the face gently before washing it out.
  • The scrubbing granules helps in effective exfoliation.
  • It effectively clears out all the dirt, impurities and oiliness from the skin.
  • Neem with it’s antibacterial properties helps in controlling pimples and acne to a great extent. While Fuller’s Earth keeps the face cool.
  • This pack definitely helps in soothing the skin, makes the face clearer and also improves skin texture.
  • The pack can also be used as a scrub.
  • Affordable pricing. 130INR for a 100gm pack.
  • Easily available at local departmental/provision stores and online as well.

Points to improve:

  • It causes tingling sensation while applying which is mentioned in the pack anyway. The sensation doesn’t stay long though.
  • Dry-skin people might need a moisturizer after the pack usage as it makes your skin drier.
  • It contains Parabens.
